This is the start of the game. Welcome dragonslayers.
You have a few options and one of them furthers the story.
You enter a cave. You see a dragon, a horde of gold behind it, and a portal by the entrance.. What do you do?
[[Sneak]]
[[Fight The Dragon]]
[[Enter The Portal]]You try to sneak around the dragon, you get to the treasure horde easily, but then you knock over a barrel of oil, the dragon smells it and fireballs you to death! Before you even unsheathe your blade the dragon wakes up and fireballs you to death! You enter the portal. You teleport to the back of the cave. You now see that there's a large stone above the dragon's head that looks sorta loose, maybe you can budge it somehow and end the dragons life then steal it's treasure?? How will you move the stone??
[[Fireball]]
[[Shoot it with an arrow.]]
[[Yell really loud.]]You hurl your most powerful fireball at the rock, it falls with a crash right on the dragons head! The dragon isn't killed though, but stuck under the rock, you have about 30 seconds before it breaks free!
[[Grab treasure and run!]]
[[Look for a weak spot to stab.]]
[[Paralyze the dragon with a spell!]]The arrow bounces off the rock and nothing happens. It doesn't wake up the dragon but doesn't kill it, try something else??You just wake up the dragon and it chomps off your head. You grab as much gold and jewels as you can and swing your pack back over your shoulders, you packed too greedily as when you try to run you realize it's just too heavy, while you are taking stuff out the dragon breaks free and bites you in half!!! Talk about karma...You find a weak spot and the dragon is severely wounded after a few quick stabs with your sharp blade. After it looses a lot of blood from struggling, it calms down and accepts it's fate... The dragon dies in front of you and you almost feel sorry for the poor thing, but then you remember all the times a dragon has attacked your village and you figure it got what it deserved. Now you have a few options about the treasure...
[[Look for enchanted gear!]]
[[Take all the gold and be rich!]]
[[Leave the cave and come back with a wagon.]]The spell backfires since you aren't to keen with alteration magic and you paralyze yourself. The dragon breaks free and blasts you with fire... The last thing you feel is the welcome coolness of your tears. You look for gear that looks rare and shiny, you take a full set of armor, alas, the helmet is cursed. The ghost of Rhymesheer Grove haunts you until you return the helm to Rhymesheer Grove after months of searching for it, and you sit down on a rock... You are so drained from the haunting and the searching that you cannot go on, you lay down on nearby grass that turns out to be infested by poisonous Rhymesnakes. Try again. You take as much gold as you can carry and return to Hamboot village. Your home. Now that you are rich you can choose what to spend the gold on!
[[New spells!]]
[[Fighter Training!]]
[[Expensive tastes!]]You leave the cave and come back the next day with a horse and a wagon. There appears to be a new dragon in there... Finders keepers. You buy the most expensive spells you can buy! You also get trained, mostly in alteration and destruction. You are now a master of paralyzing, invincibility, shield spells and destruction magic... There is so much you can do!
[[Steal things with the invisibility spell!]]
[[Challenge other wizards!]]
[[Hunt more dragons!]]
You find the top fighter trainer in the city of Dewlick... He trains you rigorously, and you develope a thick skin, but one day you realize that you took the wrong path when a wizard paralyzes you and blasts you to smithereens. You had a real thing going for you when you remembered those old spells didn't you? You live a life of luxery but are not absolutely fulfilled... Every day seems the same and at your old age, you wish you did something more exciting with your gold.Good choice, but does not further the story.
You hear of a wizard living out in Bangsgriff City... It doesn't take too long to travel there so you head out with your fancy enchanted robes on... +50 magicka, 200% magicka regen and 30% spell cost reduction... They are the best robes money can buy! Getting to Bangsgriff is easy, you just teleport from Dewlick wizard's tower to Fromgoth wizard's guild, and hire a caravan to ride an hour to Bangsgriff... The wizards name is Kremnos... After getting directions from a local inn, You knock on his door and challenge him to a duel... He accepts having heard of your skill and interested in testing his abilities. It's a close fight but in the end you prevail! Here's the deets on the battle!
[[More details on the battle?]]You enter a shop of enchanted items in Dewlick city. In a hurried way, stuff just starts dissappearing. Because you stole it while invisible, and were hording the items under a tree behind the shop. The clerk is prepared though, and casts a "Mass Reveal" spell. He does so quietly, and while you are grabbing a nice looking magic sword, he paralyzes you and casts "Sleep". You wake up in the citie's prison. The guard tells you the same thing happened three times this week. Maybe you should have robbed some place without magic wielding clerks? You are a master of destruction and alteration, this should be easy! You go to a Hamboot Inn to pick up rumors. There is a dragon living on a mountain to the southeast... So on foot, with a few healing potions, a staff of summon skeletons, a one time teleportation scroll and your wizards robes, plus your enchanted jewelry, you set out to shinedeer point... The journey is long and treacherous. You fireball a few goblins, do some rock climbing, and sneak past bandits... You get to shinedeer point. The dragon is perched on a giant troll skull. He speaks to you, "Greetings, why have you come here, to my mountain?". What do you say?
[[I have come to challenge you wyrm!]]
[[Run away!]]
[[Talking lizard? Teleport home!]]You get chased by the dragon and die from dragonfire. Running down a mountain with no cover from trees is a bad idea. Did I mention there was no cover on the way up? Oh well. Try again? You teleport back to your house back in Hamboot... You feel quite embarrassed. You make note to never go to that mountain in the future. The dragon becomes paralyzed, you stop and stare in awe that your spell actually worked, then get hit with an arrow by one of the more powerful skeletons. (Did you forget about them?)So you whip out your staff and summon a few powerful skeletal wizards of your own... Not too shabby decision making, because they distract the other two skeletons while you get to take on the dragon, and you are sure they will beat the other ones eventually because the shopkeeper assured you these skeletons would be POWERFUL and you tested the staff before. Now you have a chance to fight the dragon 1v1. Your plan is just to repeatedly blast it with destruction spells until it dies... But what element do you shoose? This is clearly a FIRE dragon you are dealing with.
[[Fire spells.]]
[[Light spells.]]
[[Frost spells.]]You teleport back to your house back in Hamboot... You feel quite embarrassed. You make note to never go to that mountain in the future. The spell does nothing, you die after running out of mana. The spell does nothing, you die after running out of mana. The spells are very effective and the dragon dies RIP. You get to take it's treasure horde, which isn't as glamorous as the first dragon's horde... But this time you have a divination spell that can let you know what items are cursed. There is one cursed item... the gauntlets of mag bull, so you take everything else. You have come this far, here is a recap of your decisions:
Entered a portal to the treasure horde
Fireballed a rock
Looked for a weak spot (and killed the dragon)
Took all the gold
Learned new spells and got training
Set out to hunt another dragon
Challenged the dragon
Summoned some powerful skeletons in the ensuing battle
Killed the second dragon with frost spells
Will you go further?
[[Yes.]]
[[No way!]]Thanks for playing! You travel back to Hamboot (Sometimes referred to as Hogsfoot). What do you want to do now? You are filthy rich and a powerful wizard, and you've slayed two dragons... Someone of your renown might just become a wizard trainer, of fight in the arena, OR impress a princess with spells.
So, what u wanna do?
[[Become a trainer!]]
[[Arena time!]]
[[Woo a princess!]]You set out to train other up-and-coming wizards. So to do this, you first have to join the wizard's college. So you do that and through training pupils, you actually learn more about magic and eventually become a master wizard, (You were pretty good before but now you're a master!). As befits a master, you have a new pad to hangout in. At the top of the wizard's castle you have your own suite. Sweet? You enter the stormfalcon Arena in Whimsole. The first two fights are easy, but the next one is way harder. The arena battles are to the death. You can fight once per day. In the third fight you have to face 2 people; an archer and a spellcaster. You manage to paralyze the spellcaster, then you encase the archers bow in ice. But then, the archer uses some sort of hidden ability to summon a Azurakis warrior. It takes all of your mana to defeat him... So once he's dead you pull out an enchanted dagger then go for the kill. Now you just have to - oh! The wizard is unparalyzed now and hits you with a weak lightning bolt. Half of your magicka is regenerated now. What do you do?
[[Summon skeletons!]]
[[Paralyze him again!]]
[[Try to find his weakness with low cost spells.]]You try to woo a princess with spells. Wizardry is frowned upon in the city you choose- but you didn't know that. She calls the guards and you get sent to jail. Maybe buy her flowers next time? You summon four skeletons and run out of mana... He is good with restoration magic and makes them flee with a turn undead spell... So you go one on one with him with your dagger... He pulls out his dagger and you die. Wizards were not meant for nitty gritty knife battles - less than archers anyway.Somehow he resists paralyzation and then stabs you with his dagger. At least you tried your best? Try again. You cast a fire spell, it doesn't seem to faze him. You cast a light spell, it's super effective. Just in case, you cast a frost and shock spell. Doesn't do anything. huh. So you cast "Light of Vu Fu" and finish him off. The crowd goes wild! Damn that Voldregor... He's the one that arranged a harder fight for you. You're pretty sure he's a vampire. The headmaster promised next time you'd be able to pick your next battle... But that's got you thinking about younger and brighter days when you were still hunting dragons and stirring up trouble. Because you realize that freelance adventuring was way better than these matches. It's all too hard or too easy. But adventuring was just right... You have no obligations to rise in the arena, so it's time to go on another adventure, mono bono style...
[[Hunt bandit leader bounty!]]
[[Slay some witches!]]
[[Travel to a warm beach!]]You travel to Bangsgriff because it's busy and has lots of bounties. You ask the Inn keeper, Hjerald, and he tells you about a large bounty placed on a bandit leader's head. The bandit leader is Kriftclaw, you recognise the name but are not sure from where... Ah - you've heard many stories about Kriftclaw and his band of brigands. He's holed up in Ramshire cave, to the northwest. You should buy some supplies before leaving the city. How do you prepare?
[[Healing potions]]
[[Manna potions]]
[[Scrolls of regeneration]]You find a fort full of witches... They cast powerful necrotic magic, (Drain life, summon zombies)... You still have your staff to summon powerful skeletons. The skeletons help with the zombies, and you heard fire spells work good on witches... So you cast mass inferno and take them all out on one hit. All but one. The most powerful witch casts shade of ether before you cast the fire spell, making her invulnerable to damage for 30 seconds. Unfortunately for her, she can't cst spells or attack while in this form, so you have a chance to regenerate magic. And she can only cast shade of ether once per 12 hours. You wait until her spell wears off and fireblast her right when she takes physycal form. Piece of cake. You travel to a warm beach on the west coast of the continent of Celestrum. Not a worry in the world, you think back on all the battles you have won, all the training, the adventures and the romances... Well there were a few not mentioned in this game. But there were definitely romances. Your happiest moment was the first time you succeeded in casting a spell. Your worst moment was, well your not sure, maybe you've lived a pretty good life so far. Ah - it was getting caught stealing when you were a kid. You reminisce old memories while drinking the finest of wines. You wish you had a spouse or a mate with you, but you were never good at wooing - but there's still hope! Don't worry, you'll find the right girl one day. You think on all these things while watching the sun set. Fighting Kriftclaw and his men, you run out of manna and get slaughtered... Try again.Fighting Kriftclaw you are low on health, but you cast restoration... unfortunately restoration spells (cause there's alot of bandits) take up all your mana and you can't summon backup. You are swarmed and die quickly thereafter. When you are low on health and mana, you use a scroll of regeneration. It lasts for two minutes, and it's just what you need to finish the fight. It's like you're a self-restoring tank... You buy the best scrolls of course, since you are a rich adventurer you can afford it. You leave ramshire cave and head back to bangsgriff city. You can collect the bounty in the morning... They didn't tell you how much gold you'd get.
[[Travel back to Hamboot in the dark to sleep at your house]]
[[Stay at an Inn]]
[[Stay at a friends house]]You are beset by goblins and quickly dispatch them. But you are out of mana and a troll comes out of nowhere... So you summon some Azurakis archers with a staff you found in Ramshire cave. They are killed by the troll after wounding it severely. So, you pull out your dagger and end the battle. You are wounded so you have to return to the city. You stay at an Inn. The inkeeper is friendly and meets your needs well. You relax into a warm mug of ale before falling asleep. The bard is playing songs about heroes of Bangsgriff. You hope one day they will sing songs about your own heroics, you're definitely on the right path... People are already whispering your name. You collect the bounty of 1000 gold in the morning.
[[Slay another dragon]]
[[Visit an old friend]]
[[Rise in the arena]]
Your friend Snigfoor lets you stay at his place. He lives alone. You tell him stories of your battles and experiences thus far. Lot's of laughter and drinking fine mead... He mentions he saw your hard battle in the Arena. You both agree having to face two people was a bit unfair... But you also agree it made the battle more interesting. You fall asleep in the spare bedroom. You fight a dragon names Krovelskull. An ice dragon. Fire spells work nicely. With one last fling of a spell his icy scales are blasted all over the place.
[[Look for a spouse.]]
[[Fight goblins in the wilderness.]]
[[Get wasted.]]You visit your friend Evethra. An enchantress. She sure does some enchanting on you!You fight in the arena. The battle schedual for today is goblins... You fight a master goblin. He hits hard, but you prevail. +100 gold from the match. You earn the title "Beast Slayer".You find a spouse and live happily ever after. She is the woman of your dreams and you grow old together... But isn't this a bit boring? I mean I don't know much about relationships so I don't have much to write about it... You find some goblins to fight. You blasr them all to hell with fireballs. But maybe you should have got waisted instead, because this was too easy. You get wasted and have a drunken brawl with an orc, sleep with a swordmaiden and don't remember it the next day. And Hey! You know a bit about how alchemy can help with hangovers, so you concoct a little potion to get past it.
Okay I have something a little different planned... Why not have only two choices, but each choice furthers the story!...? I know it's insane but it might be more fun! Here's some choices!
[[Challenge a rival wizard!]]
[[Do a quest to earn your own wizard tower!]]There's a wizard you've been waiting so challenge so you meet up with her and establish some rules... Who ever gets three hits in wins. Her name is Inferna... Probably can tell from her name she likes playing with fire. Your first spell you cast is?
[[Magic bolt]]
[[Force field]]
Having two options to further the story is proving difficult. Let's just go back to three options with one that's best.In the next one.You talk to a master wizard about doing a huge errand for him He wants you to challenge and beat a rival wizard Inferna... Then he will give you the keys to one of his vacant towers...
[[Challenge a rival wizard!]]
[[Hire some builders instead!]]You get one hit in before Inferna summons a fire demon wizard... You dodge it's attacks repeatedly. It sends slews of fireballs at you so you do an "Incantation of quickening". To move faster... You're moving side to side to dodge it's attacks. Sound familiar? You get one more magic bolt in before Inferna's demon finally hits you. Just once. You get angry and unleash your trump card... For these sorts of duels... "Meteor shower" Inferna takes one more hit and the battle is over... And you cast "Ward of undoing" to stop the chaos. You won the battle but this does not further the story. You cast force field and hide behind a magical barrier. You have tome to plan your next move, what will it be?
[[Cast meteor shower!]]
[[Cast lighting storm!]]
[[Summon Azurakis Archer!]]You hire some builders, portal physicians, movers and architects... They do a amazing job and you have a wizard's tower built within a few weaks, but you run out of coin. So you have an Idea, you could challenge the wizard for the master wizard and sell the wizard's tower that feels less like home. Only one option this time, sorry.
[[Challenge a rival wizard!]]It's super effective. you win the duel in just 30 seconds... Since it's hard for your Inferna to dodge meteors as a fully offensive pyro loving sorceress...
[[Tell the master wizard you won.]]The spell fails and you lose the duel... Maybe buying discount tomes was a bad idea. You break the rules of being hit 3 times with MAGIC ONLY. And you lose the duel by creed of wizard combat. You go back to Kazeraths tower (the master wizard) and he gives you an enchanted key... And a map on how to get to the tower. Ir's in Mazoobar swamp region... It's your own private swamp refuge... You open the door and there's a journal on the table... You learn that this tower was used to practice, of all things, necromancy! You never dabbled in necromanvy before, other than summoning a few skeletons... There's tomes on the bookshelves of powerful necromantic spells and rituals... A torture chamber looking room downstairs where they experimented on dead bodies... and there's a few staffs in the master bedroom. A staff of raise dead and a staff of absorb life. There's powerfully enchanted necromancer's robes in the closet. What say you, do you want to study necromancy?
[[NO!]]
[[Hell ya!]]Oh come on, don't be boring.
Well if your dead set on not being a necromancer then, cheers and thanks for playing.Sweet dude! Or dudet... You study the tomes, learn what you can. These are the spells you gain...
+Greater health leach
+Greater raise dead
+Necromantic ritual (raise all the bodies in a 30 foot radius)
+Summon zombie horde
+Conjure the deathless (summons a powerful deathless warrior)
And you experement a bit with dead bodies (gross but it gives you a perk)
+Necromancer's insight
(+20% resist magic, +50 health -10% spell cost)
Okay, this is your first perk so I made it overpowered!
[[Continue...]]You travel to Bangsgriff. You ask around at Stormclaw tevern... There is news that an ancient artifact has been located at the ruins of Bzinscruff. The cepter of Ncardak. It's near Whimsole... So you teleport to Whimsole and ride a horse for 30 minutes to the south-southeast. You are met by a group of bandits... Time to put your necromancy to the test!
[[Summon zombies!]]To be continued...To be continued...You both cast a magical armor, The same high quality spell for master wizards! You cast it a little quicker though, and have a chance at flinging the first spell, Kremonos quickly casts a ward and blocks your fire blast. He then uses "Blood of the arcane" to reduce his spell cost to 0 for 30 seconds! You can tell he's about to use high cost blood magic so you try to paralyze him, he resists paralyzation through spell absorbtion and you cast it again as fast as you can. He resists again and is about to let off a blood mage spell, you act quickly however, and cast "Mirkblood" to block his blood magic for 30 seconds...
[[Continue to end scene.]]You don the necromancer's robes and hood
ROBES: +100% magicka regeneration, +50 magicka, can summon or raise up to three undead minions. (Instead of two)
HOOD: +30 magicka, undead raised or summoned are 25% more powerful.
If you built a second wizard tower you sell it for +10000 gold! (Let's just say that you did.)
Time for two side quests! The first two options are side quests that have their own story line. Then loop back to this decision. The third option continues the main story!
[[Go to the city to pick up rumors]]
[[Pick up on another bandit bounty]]
[[Fight another dragon.]]You summon an army of zombies (summon zombie horde spell). They kill most of the bandits... maybe you should play with the last enemy by watching it fight a deathless warrior.
[[Conjure the deathless]]Now I know it's called deathless but it's sent back to... the shadow realm... after about two minutes... With one giant swipe of it's shadowsword, it cuts off the bandits head. You laugh in victory.
[[Enter the ruins]]
To be continued...He says "Then you shall face me, and my minions!"
A horde of skeletons crawl up from beneath the snow. You try a mass paralysis spell, but get knocked down by activating a stamina hex on the ground. Wounded, you drink your first healing potion. You cast intense heat and it kills all the skeletons but 2 more powerful ones. The dragon fire attacks you and you block it's attack with a ward. What do you do next?
[[Try to paralyze the dragon!]]
[[Summon some skeletons of your own!]]
[[Teleport home.']]
he manages to let off a blood ritual spell that damages you severely before you cast mirkblood, so you use your "Become Shade of Ether" To become a temporary spirit and his next destruction spell does no damage. You use Miraculous heal to exit the shade form and heal all your wounds... Then your mirkblood wears off as well as his spell reduction. You manage to get in a powerful shock spell, while he charges up for ""Mass Devastation", severely damaging his magicka... He surrenders. The terms of the duel not mentioned previously is that whomever won would get the opponents most prized staff. You are very happy with his "Dragonbane Staff" that you won fair and square. And you keep your "Spirit Render".
